Femara (Letrozole) is a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor that is used to treat hormonally-responsive breast cancer. This wonder drug, which works by blocking the use of estrogen and dramatically increasing other hormone levels, has the side effects of inducing ovulation and increasing the fertility rates in some women, Femara is therefore sometimes prescribed as a fertility treatment as well as a cancer drug.

Unfortunately, animal testing shows that Femara can cause significant harm to unborn young – and since Femara was only approved as a cancer treatment, its effect on human pregnancy is unpredictable.

Since the first appearance of Femara in the market in 2001, its manufacturer has received from users over a dozen reports of serious complications– about one in three of which involved fetal injury and birth defects.

If you, your baby or someone you know has been injured by Femara, you need to contact a dedicated and compassionate Femara lawyer. You may be able to collect financial compensation in a Femara lawsuit, unless statute of limitation laws can restrict the amount of time you have to press your case.
